Did either of you apply to a previous season?
Yes, Jill applied to the first season of The Amazing Race with her brother. They applied together because they were the best of friends, always had a ton of fun together, thought alike, and wanted to travel the world with a million dollar prize at the end of it. F.T. and Jill were never given that opportunity. CBS never responded to their application and they were heartbroken. Two years later, Jill tragically lost her brother in the World Trade Center. He worked on the 105th floor of Tower 1 for Cantor Fitzgerald. Shortly after that, John Vito and Jill started dating and they watched season 2 of the race together. During one episode, Jill told John Vito how she had applied with her brother to a previous season. Together they decided they wanted to apply to season 3, in honor of her brother.

How did John Vito & Jill meet?
JV and Jill met in the summer of 1999 through Jill's brother, F.T. They clicked instantly but never explored their attraction to one other, as they were both dating other people. They became romantically involved in October of 2001.

What is the meaning behind John Vito's name?
JV is named after both his father, John, and grandfather, Vito. Although his full name is John Vito, derived from the Italian version of Gianvito, he is sometimes referred to as either "John" (mostly when he was in school and work), or just "Vito" by his closest friends.

Does Jill ever leave home without her lip gloss?
NO WAY! How else would she ever be able to look pretty for John Vito and Phil?!?!
